Art is social. It lives in the world, tethers us to one another, connecting us to the past as well the future. Public art is a unique form of that tether, one that exists in the open, on a large scale, collectively owned. This December, we've invited four professionals who practice and study art in its public dimension to First Light Books, to discuss how art and creativity are cultivated and manifested in the world. 

Join us as we welcome Sharon Maidenberg, Will Bryant, Jamal Hussain, and Emily Eisenhart to the shop on December 3rd at 7PM for another installment of BY THE BOOK. This is a ticketed event, and tickets include $25 towards a book purchase of your choice and a drink ticket for our cafe.
